Why you should never buy the Chinese Apple Watch Solo Loop Bands

Ok the moment the apple had announced about their new Apple Watch solo loop bands in their last keynote, I know the Chinese must be already working on the cheap counterfeit or alternatives or whatever you would like to call.

 

So I ordered the Apple Watch 6 space grey version (wait a minute.. why do they call space grey. Is the color of the space grey. Nooo! Its black. Do they think if they combine all the lights in space they get grey? No why you are combining. Universe is expanding man. The things in space are getting away from each other. Anyway they just want us to think apple is somehow related to space or something with all these names and wallpapers. Hey Im not an apple hater, I do like their devices. Anyway coming back to the matter)

 

I bought the Apple Watch 6 space grey with the red sport loop and at the same time ordered a black solo loop of size M from Aliexpress (Crazy right ! They had  them ready the same time apple had started shipping their loops. Anyway no surprise)

 

Here is the thing. Apple makes the measurement of your wrist perfectly to match the correct size loop for you. Yes this is the first Apple Watch band that needs a measurement. But if you try to buy from vendors over a third party market I understood that they have only 3 sizes. S, M & L while apple gives you 8 different sizes.

 

I knew I was taking the risk but I followed the instructions given by the vendor and measured my wrist and ordered the M size accordingly. Guess what ! Thats a bummer. The M size was bit bigger for me. So it was loose and of no use. I try to sell that in Facebook marketplace and still no success.

Then I thought the previous size could fit me. So I ordered another one of size S this time from a different vendor from a very popular marketplace.

 

Ok it fits now. But little too tight. I made a quick research and read in some forum that they tend to expand. So every time and put them back, I expand it very well and I felt like it kinda worked.

 

Its been a month now and I feel its till too tight and I could see it hurts my wrist more than the original apple band.

 

So I really think these vendors are failed to replicate this particular solo band of apple. May be they succeed in future but for now its a big flop. SO if you really like the loop band, just buy it from apple and the counterfeits aren’t worth it.
